Taken at Ohakea, December 13, 2001. A fascinating pice of cerimonial. The Escort party are in fact 'guards' for the standard. As can be seen here, as the Standards are uncased the Escort then 'take guard' . Although in this case, all they had to protect the Standards from were spectators and mad photographers.
